Summertime Activities
The 30 miles of an extensive trail system can be hiked, biked, skied.
Tamarack Resort is built on Lake Cascade, a a relatively shallow lake making it comfortable for swimming, water-skiing and wakeboarding, kayaking, canoeing...
Rainbow trout is the prominent fish you can catch from the shore or boat. Pontoon boats, fishing boats, kayaks, and sailboats can all be used on Lake Cascade. There are also numerous trails around the lake for both hiking and biking or bird watching in one of the three Bird Sanctuaries, with lots to explore. Or simply enjoy the water.
Central Idaho is know for its world-class whitewater rafting and kayaking. The southfork and middlefork of the Payette has over 60 class III and IV rapids. To the north of us is the Hell`s Canyon and Frank Church-River of No Return Wilderness Area and 1-7 days rafting expeditions are available on the Salmon and Snake Rivers.
For golf-enthusiast, we have 4 courses located in the nearby communities of Tamarack, McCall, Jug Mountain, Whitetail and Meadowcreek. All those snowmobile trails during the winter turn into ATV, mountain bike, hiking, dual sport riding and horsebackriding trails. And, most importantly are the Lakes - Payette and Cascade. Warm summer days, beaches and perfect temperatures for swimming, water-skiing, jet-ski`s, sailing, yachting and fishing.
